As a Waste Disposal Authority (WDA), DCC is responsible for the disposal of municipal waste and is actively seeking new ways of reducing the amount of waste produced by Devon residents. This tendering process will appoint a suitably experienced contractor to deliver a community engagement project in an agreed area(s) of Devon and identify new ways of working to reduce waste, increase levels of reuse, recycling and composting by the targeted communities. Furthermore the work will seek to encourage and support the community/ies to actively set up and run their own community engagement activities to reduce waste in their community.
