Overview
Under the provisions of the Children Act 1989, the Council must provide services designed to assist individuals who provide care for disabled children to continue to do so, or do so more effectively, by giving them breaks from caring. More detail on this duty is provided by the Short Breaks Regulations. We want to commission a high quality, reliable and accessible service to meet this requirement and to work with us, families and young people to achieve the best possible outcomes for those young people and their families in Calderdale.
