Part of Short Breaks Framework Agreement.
Under the provisions of the Children Act 1989, the Council must provide services designed to assist individuals who provide care for disabled children to continue to do so, or do so more effectively, by giving them breaks from caring. More detail on this duty is provided by the Short Breaks Regulations.
