The National Institute for Biological Standards and Control ("NIBSC", part of the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency, "MHRA") intends to purchase a microscale viscometer capable of measuring critical rheometric and viscoelastic properties of biologic materials including high concentration proteins (1 to 16% w/v), low to high concentration complex polysaccharides (1 to 20%) and complex formulation biologics e.g. vaccines. These materials are studied as part of NIBSC core research, tehri evaluation in control testing and other QC analysis and in the characterisation of biologics for the dispensing of reference materials.
