Overview
The ‘Place Principle’ was adopted by the Scottish Government and COSLA in February 2018 as part of a long-term plan in Scotland for the development and infrastructure needed to support sustainable and inclusive local growth. ‘Place Plans’ and ‘Town Investment Plans’ are community-led development projects that are being undertaken as part of the Planning (Scotland) Act 2019, and the National Planning Framework 4 (NPF4). Scottish Borders Council intends to create a Framework Agreement for the provision of 'Place Making Consultancy Services’.
