Overview
Following the launch of NHS DPP on 22.3.2016 NHS England is seeking to explore the feasibility of using a digital delivery channel to support at risk individuals to reduce their risk of Type 2 diabetes. Following this feasibility phase NHS England may choose to take forward a procurement. A digital prevention programme would be separate from the current NHS DPP procurement which is based on the current evidence base for face to face interventions. We recognise that the NHS DPP will not be suitable for all and that the intensity of time commitment required on the diabetes prevention programme may limit access in certain groups (e.g. working age people / rural communities).
