Overview

UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA), based at the Culham Science Centre in Oxfordshire, hereafter referred to as the Purchaser, carries out research into the use of controlled fusion for the generation of power. Setup of specified welding test rigs and conduct a series of tests on 316L steel. The trials will involve the adjustment of weld parameters to optimise the performance of the hybrid welding system and the quality of the resulting weld, and as such the expertise of the supplier should be sufficient as to investigate the performance of the system and quality of the weld.
