Overview
The HS2 Project aims to provide a legacy in terms of improving health, from prevention of ill health to improving functional fitness amongst the workforce. Increasingly, occupational health is adopting a wider scope which can be encapsulated as the effects of health on work – and the effects of work on health. The aim of this project is to develop systems and procedures which will be applied by third parties to not only provide and maintain a healthy work environment, both during the build and the operation of the rail system, but to take account of the health of the workers on the work being conducted.
