Overview
Westminster City Council is developing a district heating scheme for the Church Street area of WCC. In April 2017, WCC secured £2.56m of grant monies towards the Project from the pilot phase of the Heat Networks Investment Project from the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy. The Church Street district heating scheme is a piece of low carbon infrastructure which facilitates the regeneration of the Church Street area in an environmentally responsible way. The scheme will serve 2,500-3,500 homes and several other buildings.
