There is a requirement for the metabarcoding analysis of 62 tissues (namely bark, heartwood, and sapwood) from already-provided World Forest ID wood samples, using both fungal ITS and bacterial 16S primers and amplicon sequencing in the same runs. The sample prep, extraction, and analyses, and associated bioinformatics pipeline and outputs shall follow the same novel Fera protocols and SOPs as agreed previously with the RBG Kew and World Forest ID teams. Full data sets, bioinformatics results, and all associated methods and SOPs, along with any remaining unspent subsamples will be returned to the World Forest ID team
