The Hepatitis C Programme is aiming to achieve elimination in England before the WHO target of 2030, and has a UK government aim to achieve this by 2025. Over 55,000 people have already been treated, partly due to a significant expansion of curative treatment capacity utilising new direct acting antivirals (DAAs).
