Overview
The University of Sheffield Urban Flows Observatory, led by the Departments of Civil and Structural and Automatic Control and Systems Engineering, is looking to create a network of weather stations around the city of Sheffield. These will operate for an initial period of 5 years. The purpose is to provide measurements to support data gathered from a network of air quality sensors as well as information regarding solar irradiance and inform research regarding the Urban Heat Island effect.
