Overview
The University of Exeter is procuring access to the Oxford Nanopore PromethION Early Access Programme (PEAP). This is a pre-commercial release of a system utilizing nanopore technology to sequence multi-kilobase fragments of DNA. The system will be used to evaluate the suitability of the technology for clinical diagnostic applications as well as method development. To our knowledge no competing system is commercially available at this time The specifications of the system contains up to 48 flowcells containing a nanopore sensor array enabling 3000 nanopores each.
