UKRI Acousto-optical Programmable Dispersion Filter

The Gemini Laser facility within the Central Laser Facility (CLF) at UKRI provides ultrafast pulses of high intensity for users. The development and operational necessity of Gemini laser system have required purchasing a new Dazzler element. Dazzler is an acousto-optical programmable dispersion filter (AOPDF) which controls amplitude spectrum and spectral phase of the optical pulses to achieve reliable compression of ultrashort optical pulses at the end of the amplification chain of Gemini laser system. This Contract was awarded in alignment with Regulation 32(2)(b)(iii)
