Wigan has an ongoing commitment to transforming services that focus on better outcomes for individuals whilst ensuring high quality and efficient provision. As part of this a strategic review of Extra Care services in Wigan has recently taken place. The review described the current services as traditional, based on a homecare model which lacked flexibility, responsiveness and community connection. We are looking for an innovative provider that will co-design a new model of Extra Care with the Council, the landlord, residents, and the local community that does not currently exist in the Borough.
