Overview
The Council proposes to introduce mandatory training and testing of all new applicants for driver's licences and would love to hear from providers who may be interested in providing these services - particularly if they already have a successful programme for other authorities. It is proposed that applicants shall be required to attend a full day's training course to include training in customer service, driver safety, relevant legislation, disability awareness, safeguarding and other key information required to be a competent and safe driver.
