Overview
TfL is responsible to the Mayor and the Greater London Assembly for the delivery of transport services in London. This includes the maintenance and operation of 580km of main roads, operating bus and other transport services and congestion charging in the Central London Area. Part of this responsibility is to give public notices of our intentions to execute either temporary or permanent restrictions/changes to road usage. It is a legal requirement that TfL undertakes consultation of restriction/changes to allow representation to be made by advertising our proposed temporary and permanent changes to our roads.
