Overview

In 2020, Medway Council received funding from the Future High Streets Fund to carry out public realm enhancements to the Paddock and Military Road in Chatham. The Paddock will once again become a recreational space with places for people to promenade, sit, relax and play. Two large areas of lawns will be retained for people to sit out and enjoy and new planted areas will provide colour, texture, all year-round interest and ill attract wildlife to the area. Accessibility will be improved by adjusting the levels to create a central open space that is level with Military Road.
