Overview
Kettering General Hospital (KGH) has a large steam and condensate network serving the site. In 2014 the main boiler house was decommissioned, and it was replaced by temporary steam boilers. These temporary boilers were located in carpark D and they are still there today and provide the steam for the whole site. The original boiler house was demolished, and it is now being used as a waste compound. To support the future hospital development, it is necessary to construct a new modular building on carpark D, in the location of the current temporary steam boilers.
