The School of Health & Social Care at Teesside University has a fully equipped Student Dental Facility (SDF) that offers a wide range of free dental treatments including oral hygiene, dietary advice, routine scale and polish and extensive periodontal treatments to a current population of approximately 3,000 patients. The SDF is Care Quality Commission (CQC) approved.The SDF provides a placement opportunity for students studying the Certificate in Dental Nursing and BSc (Hons) Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy courses to achieve the skills and competencies needed to complete their studies.
