Overview
NHS DUMFRIES & GALLOWAY is the second smallest of the 11 territorial NHS Boards in Scotland. It serves a population of approx 150,000 and employs circa 4,500 staff. The Board provides strategic leadership and performance management for the entire local NHS system in the Dumfries & Galloway area and ensures that services are delivered effectively and efficiently. It has responsibility for the provision and management of the whole range of health services in this area including hospitals and General Practice, and works alongside partnership organisations including the Local Authority and the voluntary sector
