The research specified in this Invitation to Tender will clarify whether government support for maritime training is still required/should continue and at what level. The Support for Maritime Training (SMarT) funding scheme was last reviewed in 2011 to see if it was still needed to support UK maritime training and whether adjustments were necessary.
