Strood is located in Medway, Kent on the east of the River Medway. Strood is at risk of tidal flooding from the River Medway as well as significant surface water flood risks. Current river/flood walls in the area offer a varying Standard of Protection (SoP) between <1 in 20 to 1 in 200 year and is characterised by a number of council and third-party assets in varying degrees of condition.
