Overview
It has been decided two specifications will be considered for the impending dog kennel contract which is currently out for tender. Previously the kennel owners have taken ownership and are responsible for any dogs left in their care after 7 days. Although we have still presented this option we have also decided to present a second option which places full responsibility on the local authority to rehome the dog after the initial 7 day period expires. It may be necessary to extend the stay beyond 7 days if an owner is not found but the local authority will meet all additional kennelling costs.
