Strategic Flood Risk Assessment

The Council is now in the process of preparing the Local Plan (Part Two) Land Allocations and Detailed Policies which will take forward the spatial strategy of the Adopted Plan and will include the allocation of sites. As such, the Part Two Local Plan will play a direct role in delivering the borough’s regeneration and growth objectives. To inform this work, an update to the existing Level 1 Strategic Flood Risk Assessment (SFRA) is required to initiate the sequential risk-based approach to the allocation of land for development and to identify whether application of the Exception Test is likely to be necessary.
