There is assistance from a scheme manager (warden) or support staff, 24-hour emergency response through an alarm system, majority have communal areas and social activities for residents.\r \r Dispersed Alarm Service\r \r The dispersed alarm service is a telecare monitoring system for residents living in their own homes in the community but it is not part of the sheltered accommodation service.
