Overview

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) requires to develop the current breathing apparatus (BA) training facilities at MoD Wattisham Flying Station, Great Bricett, Suffolk. A new training unit is required to support training and development of operational personnel in firefighting, search and rescue skills in a realistic and controlled environment. The unit must enable SFRS to train personnel in accordance with National Operational Guidance Foundation for Breathing Apparatus and BA Training Specification. SFRS are tendering for a carbonaceous burn training unit and an LPG fuelled unit, with a view to install one or the other.
