Overview

The Scottish Accommodation Occupancy Survey (SAOS) is a continuous research study which gathers occupancy data from accommodation businesses across Scotland. VisitScotland (formerly the Scottish Tourist Board) commissioned the first occupancy survey in the 1970’s and they have evolved into the series of Accommodation Surveys which exist today. VisitScotland is seeking to find solutions to the changing requirements of accommodation businesses and users of occupancy information with particular focus on the challenges and limitations referenced above.
