The North Bank of the Tyne is a large and strategically important employment corridor, providing the primary location for a nationally significant cluster of businesses in the offshore and sub-sea sector. This study will help secure the economic future of the river, including as businesses transition towards a low-carbon future, whilst also considering the wider cultural, leisure and residential offer that the river brings to the region. The study will be weighted so that the business / economic development element has primacy over other supporting themes.
