Overview
The high penetration of renewable energy sources across Northern Ireland Electricity Networks’ (NIE Networks) transmission network has resulted in the network becoming increasingly constrained. NIE Network’s Real Time Thermal Rating (RTTR) project aims to determine the thermal capacity of 110 kV Transmission assets during different weather conditions, facilitating increased loading of assets without the need for costly network reinforcement. NIE Networks would like to invite interested parties who provide services relevant to the requirement to attend separate online market engagement sessions.
