Overview
The Aston Institute of Photonics Technology have a requirement for two Radio Frequency (RF) Spectrum Analysers with Pre-Amplifiers and an External Harmonic Mixer. The main features of the technical specification are as a minimum: i. Two RF Spectrum Analysers covering at least 10 Hz to 25 and 50 GHz RF ranges, respectively. ii. Harmonic mixer for extension of the RF spectrum analysers operation range to the band of 55-90 GHz (or wider), which is reserved for 5G communication. iii. Pre-amplifiers for both Spectrum Analysers, which allow decrease of the noise floor by 10 dB at least.
