Overview
In order to optimise the potential of its river valleys, the city is commissioning a River Valley Strategy Report (with the focus on the rivers Irk, Medlock and Mersey) and an associated GIS database. The Strategy Report will be developed over a period of one year from 1 April 2020. It will consist of one cover report (providing an over-arching summary review of the city's rivers) and three individual river valley strategies with action plans focusing on the rivers Irk, Medlock and Mersey.
