Overview
Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service (LFRS) have introduced Coaching and Mentoring to the Organisation. It has always been referred to but a formal Service Order has now been put in place. Coaching Skills training is delivered to all Line Managers (operational and non-operational), and Mentoring is provided to new firefighter recruits and delegates on a Middle Manager Development Programme. The Organisation is going through a period of transformation in terms of culture and more emphasis is being placed on Leadership.
