The University of Bristol has a requirement for a new X-Ray Diffractometer (XRD) which will form part of the Facility for Radioactive Materials Surfaces (FaRMS), part of the National Nuclear User Facility (NNUF) project. FaRMS will be embedded in the Interface Analysis Centre (IAC), part of the School of Physics. The requirement is comprised of a state-of-the-art XRD system with particular focus on solid materials analysis, texture, and thin film characterisation.
