Short Breaks will help children and young people to engage, and be ready for, learning activities. Short breaks will also focus on providing the user with independent living skills. Parents and children must be involved in the design of the service. The purpose of the Ofsted Registered (childcare register) Holiday Play Scheme Service is to provide access for children and young people with disabilities to social and leisure activities and to enable their parents and carers to have a break from their caring responsibilities.
