Overview
The Jisc primary nameserver service (PNS) is one of several DNS services operated by Jisc for the benefit of our members. PNS provides a facility to manage, host and serve authoritative DNS zones. DNS zones and records can be accessed and changed through a secure self-service web portal. Changes to the zones are immediately pushed to a set of resilient secondary nameservers to provide high availability and give added peace of mind. The nameservers are all situated on the Janet Network backbone and are geographically separated as a precaution against risks such as fire or network connection failure. What are we looking for?
