NHSE wishes to establish a commercial mechanism for ‘practice level support’ (PLS) to be purchased for general practice between 2026-2029. PLS is an improvement support programme for general practice that helps general practices to make operational changes for the benefit of patients and staff. For patients, benefits are in improved access and health outcomes, and for staff through increased productivity and reduced workload.
