Overview
The National Physical Laboratory [NPL] requires a Potentiostat/Galvanostat for Battery Testing with at least 4 channels each having electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) capability. A maximum current of 4 A is required on three channels, with a maximum current of 10 A on the other channel. We require the ability to characterise performance and lifetime of batteries using such a test system. The test facility will be capable of accurately measuring charge and discharge curves, cycle capacity, state of charge and state of health (via EIS) not only for Li-ion batteries but also other emerging battery chemistries.
