DHSC is looking to conduct a pilot testing programme for type IIR face masks and visors aiming to inform the requirements for a potential long-term testing programme. This pilot testing programme will include three elements: accelerated aging at 50 degrees with and without humidity control and at 60 degrees without humidity control, testing of type IIR face masks to EN14683 and testing of visors to EN166. The market engagement phase is an opportunity for us to understand the market and engage with interested parties to inform our procurement process.
