Birmingham City Council (the Council) believes that the wider adoption and provision of technology enabled care supports its vision of: o Enhancing independence and dignity by enabling citizens to exercise greater control over their daily lives, live at home and be less dependent upon other people. o Reducing isolation by connecting citizens to their social networks and to opportunities in their communities. o Supporting unpaid carers and families by providing reassurance remotely, respite, easy means of communication and reducing demands on their capacity.
