Overview

The Pile Fuel Cladding Silo (PFCS) Operations team require the supply and installation of additional cameras within the PFCS Silo to provide orthogonal views of the Waste Retrievals grab in support of the Early Retrievals Project (ER). There are specific requirements associated with orthogonal views of the waste being retrieved to allow for successful waste retrievals operations and waste characterisation. The CCTV being provided as part of the present Early Retrievals design is not capable of providing true and clear orthogonal views of the waste being retrieved at the lower levels as the waste is gradually removed.
