Overview
Local authorities are mandated under the Local Authorities Regulations 2013 to commission comprehensive open access sexual health services, including Long Acting Reversible Contraceptives (LARC) and the costs of medication/devices associated with their commissioned services. Lincolnshire County Council are seeking to commission local GP Practices to provide LARC including intrauterine contraception (IUC) methods and contraceptive subdermal implants (SDI). Providers can choose to provide either IUC or SDI services, or both. The specification sets out the requirements of these services including the activity payment which is set by the Council.
