Overview

Ofcom need to develop and publish statutory codes of practice for public consultation, prior to them being laid before parliament in relation to the Online Safety Bill. There are three areas of policy that Ofcom seek support with through this commission. They are: i) Understanding how investors impact risk. This workstream aims to understand investment decisions for services that are likely to be in scope of the Online Safety Act - so-called User-to-User (U2U) services and search services - and how they may affect risk of harm on those services. ii) Prevention of Priority Illegal Content.
