The Council is seeking through the procurement exercise to acquire a solution which can provide 240 logical processors, 600GB of memory and 70TB worth of storage. The solution the Council is looking to procure has been a Storage Area Network (SAN) which has multiple storage devices, providing a shared pool of storage space, and the compute been provided by three servers, each been 1U enterprise server, designed to optimize workloads, performance and will reduce the server space required.
