The Department of Civil and Structural Engineering hosts the UK's largest urban water research group, bringing together people from different disciplines to advance engineering and scientific knowledge across all aspects of water engineering and management. The new flume facility will initially be employed in studies to quantify longitudinal dispersion around vegetation and will be used to conduct both hydrodynamic and tracer studies.
