His Majestys Coastguard (HMCG) through the Coastguard Rescue Service (CRS) provides Search and Rescue (SAR) capabilities operating within the littoral area of the coast and certain designated inland waterways in the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland. All Coastguard Rescue Teams are provided with training and equipment to deliver SAR operations; Casualty care (First aid, casualty packaging, evacuation, rescue Stretchers), Search, Water Safety and Rescue including Flooding to support Civil Contingencies.
