Overview

Covid-19 has caused widespread disruption across the global shipping industry and subsequent supply chains. The DfT requires access to detailed information on shipping movements to monitor the maritime sector and respond to any business-critical disruption in sea transport, including the Covid-19 pandemic. DfT require a time series to enable better understanding of long-term trends to inform decision making. DfT are looking for two aspects of maritime information and data; a platform that visually represents ship movements and minimum quarterly provision of world fleet data.
