The Council is procuring a contract to undertake the reconstruction of a section of retaining wall at Lancaster Street, Carlisle. O.S. grid Co-ordinates 340443E; 555372N. The works require a section of retaining wall approximately 27m in length and 1.5m in height of retaining wall to be taken down and reconstructed/ realigned as indicated on drawing Dwg-01-Lancaster Street RW. The existing stone is to be set aside for re-use and where replacement stone is required it must match the surrounding masonry as closely as possible.
