Cornwall Council and NHS Kernow are passionate about informal carers and need to ensure that they can access a wide range of high quality services that support them with their caring role. This is for both adult and young carers. Current contractual arrangements for services that support informal carers end in June 2021. Cornwall Council is therefore procuring a new contract to deliver the Support Service for Informal Carers. The contract will commence 1 July 2021 and support Cornwall Council and NHS Kernow to meet its statutory duties to all Carers, as outlined in the Care Act, Children and Families Act and NHS Long Term Plan.
