This procurement is for an independent testing of i-VMS devices to confirm whether they meet the technical requirements of the Marine Management Organisation (MMO). I-VMS stands for Inshore Vessel Monitoring System, these are positional monitoring devices which have been designed for fishing vessels in line with the MMOs I-VMS specification of requirements, to cater for vessels under 12ms which currently do not operate a VMS device.
